About Eastern Gymnastics Center

Located in Smithtown-Nesconset, Eastern Gymnastics Center features one of Long Island's top gymnastics training programs for boys and girls. Our students develop skills necessary for progressions in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of gymnastics. We help students set and achieve their goals. Whether the student's goal is to become a USA Gymnastics competitor, or to develop the strength, flexibility and coordination needed for another sport, their needs are met at Eastern Gymnastics Center.

Our family-oriented facility features:

• Year-round gymnastics program
• Spring action floor and safety pit for dismounts
• Equipment that meets competition specifications and safety standards required by F.I.G. and USA Gymnastics regulations
• Training in all Olympic events
• Competitive boys and girls teams
• Low student/teacher ratio

Eastern Gymnastics Center owner and director Bob Whitney is a certified New York State teacher with more than 30 years experience in gymnastics, including:

• Captain of Men's Gymnastics team - placed 2nd in NCAA's
• Coached varsity boys team at Smithtown High School for 12 years
• Head Coach of Boys USA Club team - won NYS Championships
• 10 plus years of gymnastics judging experience
• New York State certified teacher

Classes are available for children of all ages. Cheerleading groups, tumbling classes, and private lessons are also available.
